“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.” Most sources attribute this to Henry Ford.
The term “stinking thinking” means negative thoughts which "stink." These thoughts can be about anything, but they are often related to your self-esteem. They can impact your self-confidence.
Your thoughts have a huge impact on your behaviours and feelings. Negative thoughts have a negative impact. How do you want to handle negative thinking? What would you need to think about to generate positivity instead? These are powerful forces.
Ask yourself this. How are your thoughts are benefiting or hurting you and what are they affecting? Sometimes, all you need to do is change your outlook. Switching things up can be as easy as thinking about thoughts you want instead of what's going on now.
Start today and be honest with yourself. Reflect, assess, and start addressing things.
If you are on mental autopilot and thinking negative thoughts, switch things around. Try to think about what brings you joy instead. Are there things which make you happy? What are your positive goals?
On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being low and 10 being high, how positive are you feeling? Having more positive thoughts will benefit you and make your day-to-day life better? Given your current position on that 1-10 scale, what do you need to do instead to move up in position?
Ask yourself how long it’s been since you felt like you had a solid grip on your thoughts. When you did, what was different? What is the gap between then and now?
"Stinking thinking" can affect your beliefs, self-image, and your emotional state of mind. It's possible to rid yourself of this type of toxic mental pollution. Aim for a positive and mindful way of thinking. Free yourself from harmful beliefs and faulty perceptions.
Banishing "stinking thinking" will do your self-confidence no end of good.
All the best to you and yours
